I have been looking forward to writing this post for months, since cold February when I shot their engagement photos in the snow. And now, it is with great pleasure that I bring you the photos from last Saturday evening… the wedding of Heather & Potter. Heather works down the hall from me, and over the course of the last few months I have come to think of myself as a minor co-planner in the wedding. She has excitedly told me all the details as they worked them out. I have heard about the changes they have made to make the wedding more “them” and even more unique as it has evolved. Potter is also from my hometown, and his sister (their matron of honor) was one of my good friends during high school. So many crazy connections that we kept discovering! I knew that every time she mentioned the weather on her wedding day, she would knock on wood no matter where she was. As those who live in the area are well aware, last Saturday was not one of those brilliantly sunny August days. It was on the chilly side, and by the time the ceremony time came at 6:30 pm a gentle mist had started. But Heather & Potter smiled throughout the ceremony. And I discovered, as I was going through the photos, that the “romantic mist” (as they have come to call it) was even better suited to their location than a sunny evening would have been. This wedding had so, so many wonderful details and special touches. There are a LOT of photos here. I also included a slideshow at the end, but I had to cull that down to only 150 out of my original 275 image slideshow so that the photos didn’t fly by in 1 second! I honestly can’t wait to put your album together, because I know that this wedding will really tell a story — not only of your wedding day, but also of your love and life together.
Deepest congratulations to you both! I wish you a lifetime of happiness, travel and love.

This next one needs a tiny bit of explanation — their first dance took place outside on the lawn outside the barn, largely in the dark. It was really dramatic — something entirely different than any first dance I’d seen before. Their guests LOVED it.

They had the UW Pep Band come to the reception right after the first dance, which was a surprise to the guests. They also loved that! (so did I)

a couple of details…
Flowers: daffodil*parker (and they were gorgeous)
Bridal gown: Brandi’s Bridal Galleria
Wedding and reception location: Badger Farms
Videographer: Frogman Productions
… and your slideshow. Enjoy!
Oh, and possibly my favorite photo of the day. Although it was very hard to choose.
