This past Saturday was one of those very bright, very crisp, very autumnal days. I was lucky enough to spend the day photographing the beautiful wedding of Andrea and Eric here in Madison. Their wedding was lovely, from the gorgeous wedding gown to the absolutely perfect flowers (I really was in love with them). Granted, it would have been nice if the temperature had been 20 degrees or so warmer, but I was happy to avoid the persistent rain we’ve had lately, and Andrea & Eric were perfectly happy to listen to my crazy ideas and go roaming around the grassy fields of the Arboretum in 40 degree weather. Thanks for that, guys. Despite the chill in the air, their photos definitely do have a sense of warmth to them. And what I really loved was the way that they were just so entirely natural and at ease with each other. I am pretty sure that at some point during the planning meeting, Andrea had told me that they didn’t really love having their photos taken and weren’t comfortable in front of the camera. I can tell you one thing: you never would know it from these photos. Congratulations to you both, and I promise I’ll update this post with a slideshow in a few days!

And my favorite, I think…
